Cross Country


Cross Country is open to all students in grades 3-5. 

Practices:  Practices will be held Tuesday and Thursdays, beginning Sept. 18 from 4:00-4:45.  Meet in the gym.  No Tuesday practice once meets begin.  Students stay after school and must have their own transportation home.  Wear appropriate running attire and bring a water bottle if you choose. If you are unable to make the practices but will train on your own, you are welcome to join the team.  Participants must fill out and return an Emergency Card prior to the first meet.

Track Meet Schedule:
Tues 10/2  4:45pm @ SR-BC hosts vs BC,WO and WM
Tues 10/9  4:45pm @Sunrise vs ER,HH, and WM
Tues 10/16 4:45pm @Cottage Lake vs ER&CL
Tues 10/23   5:00pm @Sunrise-Finals vs BC,CL,ER,HH

Transportation:  Participants must provide your own transportation to and from meets.  Meets begin at 4:45pm and are usually over around 5:30pm.

Dress for the meets:  A Sunrise shirt will be handed out to wear during the season.  Participants should wear good running shoes and shorts or sweatpants and a sweatshirt or jacket to wear after you run.  Meets are only cancelled in the event of lightning;  we run in the rain.
